Part 3, Project 1 – Exercise: What writers say

Jeremy Strong
He daydreams his stories and makes his characters do anything possible.  He recommends writing all important thoughts and ideas down.

He sorts his stories into sections and reads his writing out loud.

He also recommends getting rid of any parts that “are boring”.

Anne Fine
She gains a lot of valuable knowledge from experiencing other families, watching how they interact and live.

She tends to “put people in cupboards”; she confines her characters to somewhere safe so that she can keep a good grasp of what they feel and think.

She writes for herself;  if she enjoys reading something that she has written she knows that it will do well.
